Caught in a Prison of Your Own Making?
Posted on | July 20, 2011 |
Breaking free from analysis paralysis… or the delay tactic of procrastination.
Getting yourself back to good. This recipe could be applied to anything as we tend to get ourselves caught up in the pleasure and/or conversely the pain (we do have the propensity to become addicted to trauma drama)… relationships, working through divorces, jobs and career paths, quitting an addiction, improving health matters, exercise, or just plain following through with those endless projects that don’t ever seem to get finished. Ever wonder where the middle ground is?
CHOOSE.
Ask for guidance in choosing what is in your best and highest good? Stop struggling. The more you struggle, the faster you go down. Calm yourself. Breathe. Now, follow your guidance… guidance from the body (you can feel what you are to do - you just KNOW)…guidance from your guides, guardians and God/Spirit/Source… and guidance from within, your own High Self.
COMMIT
You made a choice. Now it’s time to commit. What is in it for you? What is in the value that you are choosing this option/opportunity? What is it really worth to you? Commit yourself to this choice from your very core and don’t look back. Commitment only takes a firm yes or a no. You decide. So DECIDE. You can or you can’t. You will or you won’t.
RECEIVE
Now that you have made your choice, and you have decided to make your commitment. It’s time to also be receptive to guidance and prayers, or the Universe, God/Spirit. Support comes in many different forms when we focus our energy to that of our best and highest good. When we choose to eliminate a habit, or something that which is no longer serving us, we have to ASK and RECEIVE. We have to ask for support from our friends/family/Heaven. Any time we ask for help in our best and highest good, answers and support comes pouring in.
REMOVE YOURSELF
Get the heck out of your way! Stop the self sabotaging behaviors! You ARE worth it! You CAN do it! Trust. Do all that you can. Do not block yourself by creating expectations or demands.
All too often we can find ourselves caught up and stuck in the woulda, coulda, shoulda. Have compassion and forgive yourself for things you blame yourself for, the things that you think you should have done or didn’t do. Let them go. Don’t judge your experience. Surrender. Know and trust that you are where you are and who you are because of the path that brought you to exactly where you are… and more often than not… it will NOT look like the brochure you had in your head! If viewed from a higher perspective, it’s often even better!!

I love your blog! Perfect, all around!
I would like to request to re-post your Buddha story on my own blog? It’s lovely. Anne Landers said that ‘Anger is acid in that it destroys the vessel it is carried in’.
Many blessings to you!
Warmly, Lisa Mohr
